…love notes to a little sister.
…apologies & the power of forgiveness.
Speaking of “gathered fragments,” I was inspired by these words written by Harriet Michael for the Deeply Rooted Magazine blog. So beautiful. You should step over there & spend a few moments relishing in her wisdom.
She shares, “Whether simple and fun, or deep and meaningful, may we be aware of the things around us that need to be gathered. When the disciples gathered the fragments in the Bible story, they had 12 baskets left over. Though this was a miraculous occurrence, the underlying principle is still valid. If you or I form fragment-gathering habits, we will find abundance in our lives too. And so will others whom we bless with our fragments—carefully gathered and lovingly given.”
‘GATHER UP THE LEFTOVER FRAGMENTS, THAT NOTHING MAY BE LOST.’” (JOHN 6:12)
Which speaks so perfectly to why I started this abundance project a few years ago. By gathering the fragments of an ordinary life, I celebrate the abundant gifts I receive from the Creator on a daily basis. That nothing may be lost… And that we all might be encouraged in this land of broken pieces & jagged edges…
On a side note: I would appreciate your prayers concerning my goal to write a submission for this wonderful magazine that exists “to encourage, educate, and inspire Christ-following women into a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ so they may become deeply rooted in their faith.”
