{abundance ~ day 17}

“Practicing the art of abundance means looking at the world as it is, right in front of you, not as you think it should be. It is a way of letting go of expectations and letting what is, what already exists, speak to you in a new way.”

Abundance is…not how much I own but how much I appreciate.

Abundance is…an unexpected phone call from a friend.

Abundance is…wildflowers in a mason jar.

Abundance is…a maternity ward.

Abundance is…a hawk making lazy circles in the sky.”

~ Candy Paull, The Heart of Abundance

And mine:

Abundance is…a funky gourd cradled in the hands of a child.

What about you? What does your abundance look, smell, or feel like today? Share some abundance love with the world. Or at least with me and our friends who read this blog.

Lord, please give us the eyes to see the abundance you have so freely given especially in the little, everyday things. And may we celebrate by sharing with others around us. For your glory.

{On a side note: I have decided to continue this “abundance” theme through a weekly celebration series on the blog. Look for more posts like this in the future. I am looking forward to how God might open our eyes and change our hearts as we anticipate and search for His abundant gifts.}
